Today, the President’s Trust has launched its official website – www.presidentstrust.org.mt
This website offers comprehensive and detailed information about what the Presidents Trust is all about together with its purposes and values.
The website also provides extensive information about the current projects of The President’s Trust; The Blossom Foundation Project, the XL Project and the Get-Into Project, with the last two projects being carried out in collaboration with Prince’s Trust International. The President’s Trust is actually the first international partner of Prince’s Trust International, which was launched last November by His Royal Highness Prince Charles at The Palace in Valletta.
Launched in May 2015, The President’s Trust was created by Her Excellency Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, President of Malta, to empower people in particular young people and their families who, due to their life circumstances, or because of decisions taken, are now experiencing a difficult life, are unemployed, marginalized or at risk of poverty. It is also the intention of the President’s Trust to help people with problems of mental health, or who have brushed with the law by providing practical and financial assistance for them to take the first step.
The President’s Trust operates on a project-dimension. Its initiatives are well-defined projects emerging from priorities in the social field, that are well-researched, planned and costed to ensure an efficient and effective service that is sustainable over the years.
Ms Sarah Borda Bondin, Director of The President’s Trust said that ‘the creation and the launch of the website, brings the work and the initiatives of the President’s Trust closer to the people. Through the facility of accepting financial donations, The President’s Trust will continue to fulfill its mission, that of helping to address poverty and social exclusion whilst endeavouring to seek, in various ways, the wellbeing of all people in Maltese society.’
