The Ambassador of the Republic of Slovakia to Malta presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

On the 14th October 2015, Mr Ján Šoth presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at San Anton Palace.

 

During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.

 

Dr Ján Šoth (born on 2 February 1960 in Bardejov, Slovakia) graduated from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations (1979 – 1984). Worked as the Head of the Office of the President of the Slovak Republic. Before entering the Presidential Palace (2010) he  worked at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Slovak Republic. He served as the Director General of the Bilateral Section (2000 – 2002), chaired the Energy Security Working Group of the Ministry (2007-2008) and was the Head of Department of Analysis and Strategy (2008-2010). Between 2002-2007 he served as the Ambassador of the Slovak Republic to Romania and to the Republic of Moldova.
