On the 3rd September 2015, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, Felleng Mamakeka Makeka presented her credentials to the President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the High Commissioner discussed bilateral relations.
Felleng Mamakeka Makeka studied at the City University of New York before returning to Lesotho to begin her career as an economist. Her passions for investment promotion and youth development led her to work for the Lesotho National Development Corporation and the Lesotho Tourism Development Corporation. A seasoned and determined entrepreneur, she still runs her own garden centre events venue and nursery.
She believes passionately in the empowerment of women through entrepreneurship and as such she continues to play a key role in the Federation of Lesotho Women Entrepreneurs. She has four children and three grandchildren. She assumed her duties as High Commissioner of Lesotho to the UK in September 2013.
