The Ambassador of the Republic of France presents her credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

On the 5th of February, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, H.E. Ms. Béatrice Le Fraper du Hellen – Ambassador of the Republic of France presented her credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
 
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
 
Ambassador Le Fraper du Hellen (born on the 28th June 1961) holds a  License in Economic and Social Administration, a Diploma in General University Studies and a Diploma from the Institute of Political Studies.
 
In 1985, H.E. Le Fraper du Hellen was appointed Third Secretary in Cotonou, Bénin – a post which she occupied till 1988, when she was then appointed to the United National and International Organisation Directorate at the Foreign Ministry of France. Her next diplomatic post saw her occupy the post of Second Secretary at the French Permanent Representation to the UN Office in Geneva between 1991 and 1994, after which she moved to Los Angeles when she was appointed as Cultural Attaché for two year till 1996.
 
Ambassador Le Fraper du Hellen served as councelor to the Legal Advisor of the Foreign Ministry between 1996 and 2000, both years inclusive – after which she served for four years, between 2000 and 2004, at the French Permanent representation to the North Atlantic Council in Brussels. For the following two years, 2004-2006 she was Deputy Director in charge of Human Rights and Humanitarian issues at the Foreign Ministry.
 
More recently, in the year 2006, she was seconded to the Hague International Penal Court – a post which she occupied till 2010 when she was appointed Counsellor and Legal advisor at the French Permanent Representation to the United Nations in New York – a post which she has been in since.
 
Ambassador Le Fraper du Hellen has also been made a member of the French National Order of Merit and the French Legion of Honour.
