The Ambassador of the Russian Federation presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

On the 5th of February, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, Mr. Vladimir Ardalionovich Malygin – Ambassador of the Russian Federation – presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
 
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
 
Born in 1950, Ambassador Malygin graduated from Moscow State Institute of International Relations in 1972 and from the Diplomatic academy of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1989.
 
Ambassador Malygin has been in the Diplomatic Service since 1972. He has worked in the Embassies of the USSR to Sweden, the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, and Cyprus. He also served as Consul General of Russia in Edinburgh, Great Britain (2003-2009) and in Klaipeda, Lithuania (2012-2014).
 
At present, Ambassador Malygin is Deputy Director of the Second European Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. He holds a diplomatic rank of Envoy Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary 1 Class.
