The High Commissioner of the Republic of India presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

On the 27th November , at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, Mr. Azar A.H. Khan presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
 
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the High Commissioner discussed bilateral relations.
 
Since joining the Ministry of External Affairs in New Delhi, High Commissioner Khan has served in different capacities in Brunei, Saudi Arabia, Libya, Ukraine and Egypt. He was Charge d’Affaires in Ukraine, Brunei and Saudi Arabia. He handled the additional charge of Malta while he was in Libya.
 
He has served at the Ministry of External Affairs, New Delhi as Deputy Secretary, Director and Officer on Special Duty handling matters pertaining to countries of West Asia and North Africa, Gulf, Mediterranean Forum, Arab Maghreb Union and ASEAN Regional Forum. He has handled special assignments, including the construction of the Indian Space Research Organisation’s Telemetry, Tracking and Command Centre in Brunei, Construction of Indian Embassy School building in Jeddah, evacuation of the Indian Nationals from Libya in 2011.
 
High Commissioner Azar Khan has graduated from the University of Delhi with Political Science as one of the subjects and holds a Masters degree in Arabic Literature. He speaks Arabic and has basic knowledge of German, Russian apart from English and other Indian languages.
 
High Commissioner Azar Khan is married to Ina Khan and has two daughters.
