On the 13th November, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, H.E. Mrs Celia Kuningas-Saagpakk – Ambassador of the Republic of Estonia presented her credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
Ambassador Celia Kuningas-Saagpakk was born on the 12th December 1975 and resides in Tallinn.
Her diplomatic career started in 1998, when she was appointed Assistant to the Secretary General within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia, a post which she occupied till 2001. She was then appointed Consul within the Estonian Consulate General in New York. In 2004, she became the Director of the International Staff Policy Division within the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Estonia. She occupied the role of Charge d’Affaires in Monaco for one year between 2010 and 2011, whilst occupying the role of First Secretary in the Estonian Embassy in France. Her most recent post, which she has occupied since 2011, is as Director of Division, Eastern Europe and Central Asia.
Ambassador Kuningas-Saagpakk holds an MA in Political Science, and a BA in Public Administration and Political Science, both from the University of Tartu.
Ambassador Kuningas-Saagpakk is married and has one child.
