President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, inaugurated a photographic exhibition, as part of the 2017 Japanese Landscape Competition, which is being held in collaboration between the Museum Takeshitaseikakojyo and the Cavalieri Art Hotel. President Coleiro Preca said that the arts create a unique space where artists, audiences and other stakeholders, throughout the cultural sector, can come together to consider topics of shared importance, adding that this is the purpose of all our efforts to achieve meaningful cultural diplomacy.

“The arts have the ability to shape the tone and the quality of relations between our diverse cultures. They provide a medium through which the particular difference of our cultures can be understood, while also building a common language of peace that unites us”, the President said.
