During this courtesy call, she and Minister Gentiloni discussed the healthy bilateral relations between Malta and Italy. The President also conveyed her condolences on behalf of the people of Malta for the death of two Italian workers who were kidnapped and killed in Libya and whose bodies returned to Italy yesterday evening.
