Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

Oliver Shambevski presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at The Palace, in Valletta.

During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.

Amabassador Oliver Shambevski, at present Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Macedonia to the Italian Republic in Rome, also served as the Ambassador of the Republic of Macedonia to the People’s Republic of China, where he was also accredited as a non- resident Ambassador to Mongolia, SR Vietnam, Kingdom of Thailand, and DPR Korea. Before diplomatic service, he was a Member of the Macedonian Parliament from 2006-2010. During that time, he headed the Parliamentarian delegation of the Republic of Macedonia to the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe.

Previously, he held numerous positions in the civil service sector, as well as in the international arena within the Council of Europe.

He is Professor of Macedonian Literature and South Slavic Literatures at the University St. Cyril and Methodius in Skopje, and Postgraduate of the Institute of National History – Byzantine studies, He speaks Macedonian, English, and Italian, and French passively, Spanish, and Mandarin Chinese.

Married with Magdica Shambevska, he has two sons, Boris and Konstantin.
