The President of Malta, Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, visited the Malta Shelter of Peace Monument in Melbourne. This monument commemorates the awarding of the George Cross to Malta during World War Two. President Coleiro Preca also participated in a remembrance ceremony which was also attended by the High Commissioner of Malta to Australia and New Zealand, Charles Muscat, and the Minister for Sustainable Development, the Environment, and Climate Change, José Herrera.
