President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca visited Royal Marsden Hospital in Chelsea, following the visit which took place earlier in the week at the Sutton branch of the same hospital.
President Coleiro Preca toured the radiotherapy facilities of the hospitals, and was shown a new radiotherapy system which is currently in its final testing phase and will be used as of the coming weeks. The President remarked that advances in technology are a great step ahead in cancer care, and this is why research in this field is of utmost importance.
President Coleiro Preca presented a donation on behalf of the Malta Community Chest Fund Foundation, to the hospital, for ongoing research projects.
