On the 3rd September 2015, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, Gudrun Maria Sräga presented her credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
From 2011-2015, Ambassador Gudrun Sräga was Ambassador in Kyrgyzstan in Central Asia. In her career, she has served at the German Embassies in New Delhi, Ankara and in the German Consulate General in New York and within the Foreign Ministry in Berlin.
Before becoming a diplomat in the Senior Service of the Foreign Office, she worked as staff in the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
Ambassador Sräga was born in the German State of Baden-Wuerttemberg near Lake Constance. She holds an M.A. in History and Political Sciences.
