The Ambassador of the Hellenic Republic presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

 
On the 27th November, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta, Mr. Theodoros Daskarolis presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca.
 
During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.
 
Ambassador Theodoros Daskarolis was born in Athens in 1955. He Joined the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in 1984 where he was attached to the Diplomatic Cabinet of the Minister for Foreign Affairs till 1988. After that, he was Secretary at the Embassy of Greece in the former German Democratic Republic till 1990.
 
In 1991, Ambassador Daskarolis was Deputy Head of the Communications and Archives Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. From 1991 to 1995 he was officer at the department for Greek – Turkish relations of the Ministry for Foreign Affairs. In 1995, he was appointed Consul General of Greece in Wellington, New Zealand, a post which he occupied till 1999, when he then started serving as Minister Counselor at the Embassy of Greece in the Federal Republic of Germany till 2003.
 
More recently, Mr. Daskarolis was appointed deputy head of the NATO Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and was also made representative of Greece for Conventional Arms Control Issues. Between 2012 and 2014, he was head of the NATO Department in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
 
Theodoros Daskarolis is a graduate of the Faculty of Law from the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and is married and has one daughter.
