The Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba presents her credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

On the 28th January 2016, Mrs Alba Beatriz Soto Pimentel presented her credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca, at the Presidential Palace in Valletta.

 

During the ceremony, the President and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.

 

After finishing her studies in International Political Relations at the Higher Institute of International Relations “Raul Roa” in Havana, in 1993, the Ambassador started working at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs where she carried out her activities in the European Division and in the International Cooperation Division.

 

Her experience working in the Foreign Service includes countries such as Sweden, Japan, the Republic of Congo and Gabon. She is currently Ambassador of Cuba in Italy, San Marino and Permanent Representative for the International Agencies in Rome.

 

She attended a Master of Diplomatic Studies at the Institute Matías Romero of Mexico, and various postgraduate courses on topics such as International Migration and the Role of the Medias in international relations.

 

She speaks English and French fluently, besides Spanish, her mother tongue.

 

She is married and has one son.
