The Ambassador of Turkey to Malta presents his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca

On the 14 October 2015, Mr Reha Keskintepe presented his credentials to the President of Malta Marie-Louise Coleiro Preca at San Anton Palace.

 

During the ceremony, the President of Malta and the Ambassador discussed bilateral relations.

 

Prior to his posting to Malta, Mr Reha Keskintepe served as Turkish Ambassador to Australia (2012 – 2015) and, before that, as Director General for Research and Security Affairs (2010-2012) and as Director General for Bilateral Political Affairs (2009-2010) at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Ankara. Mr Keskintepe has also held a range of positions in Ankara including, Deputy Director General for Policy Planning (2002-2005) and Head of Department, Directorate General for EU Affairs (2001-2002).

 

Mr Keskintepe was also appointed as Turkey’s Ambassador to Finland during 2005-2009 and as a career diplomat with extensive experience, has served as Minister-Counselor in Beijing (1999-2001), as First Counselor at the Turkish Permanent Mission to the UN Office in Geneva (1995-1999), as Counselor in Moscow (1990-1993), as First Secretary in Washington (1984-1988) and as Second Secretary in New Delhi (1982-1984).

 

His personal interests include collecting vintage postcards of Istanbul, which have been displayed in ten countries worldwide and will be exhibited in Malta.
