Following a successful first take of the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign Summer Initiative within local Summer Schools, more of the piggy banks used in the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign are coming out of their hibernation in preparation for the widest-reaching fund-raising event of the year.
Members of the team of volunteers of The Malta Community Chest Fund in collaboration with Bank of Valletta and the Malta Girl Guides are preparing the piggy banks for distribution in all schools in Malta and Gozo.
The L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign 2015, now in its twelfth consecutive year will see the distribution of over 2,000 piggy banks. In 2014, Bank of Valletta presented the sum of €135,000 during the live broadcast of L-Istrina representing funds collected through the L-Istrina BOV Piggy Bank Campaign which were then doubled by the Bank.
